A Glimpse of hope" daher.

Review of the debut album "Eleine" the Swedish symphonic metal band Eleine The debut album of the Swedish symphonic metallers Eleine bears the same name as the frontwoman of the band. On 04/18/2015 the album appeared on Cardiac Records (Universal). The band describes her style "seductive, monumental in style". When I on the disc for the first time have heard through the 8 pieces, opposites came to me the first adjectives like mystical, dark, orchestral, melodic vocals, sound in mind. It is dominated by heavy, dark, powerful guitar riffs, followed by Bass. Then a pressure drumming. In between sets the keyboard a its soundscape. In the then following, absolutely quiet passages of melancholy, mystical vocals of frontwoman Eleine emerges. On the opening track "Land Beyond Sanity" it comes to a duel with the resentment singing Rikard Ekbergs. This contrasts keep the suspense high and the audience is drawn into a world where he can hardly escape. The orchestral sound Sebastian Beglung's lies over the punchy guitar and the drums to abruptly generate clear quiet harmonies in a piano passage. In these moments Eleine's heard singing, delicate and fragile. If the typical Metal sound sets in, each instrument has its place. Then comes the powerful side Eleine's and Rikard's vocals to the fore. I even try my association of song to describe. Rikard Ekberg creates a gloomy frightening mood (Land of Sanity, Devotion) while Eleine brings into the scene with their bell-clear but voluminous voice light and hope (Gathering Storm, A Sin). Fast ballad-like, with a long piano and drum intro and symphonic sound elements come "Turn to Dust" and "A Glimpse of Hope" therefore. In the last piece "Death Incanate" it goes again musically the real thing. Explosive drum passages and gloomy guitar riffs alternate with orchestral soundscape, to a Eleine mates in top form, which the audience hurls her voice impressively. Comparisons with other bands I put here deliberately not to, because it would not do justice to the work. The pieces build on each other that they fuse together. This is so well done that I asked myself while you listen, in which pieces I am now arrived. The 40 min. On the shekel, are all of a piece, and it never seems overloaded. Eleine will bless us soon determined on the relevant parties, as I'm sure. Conclusion: This first work is fun on more. If there is something to criticize, it is the total playing time of "only" 31:40 minutes. But better a compact album, as yet weak 2-3 songs to pack. The musical potential is certainly not yet exhausted. I hope the musicians to Eleine their style remain faithful and not begin to adjust the sound on the mixer to a Allweltsklang. From my side there is an absolute buy recommendation. This disk belongs in the record cabinet and indeed home.
